Come with me to Level 99 located in Tyson corner mall in the DMV area. This fun filled establishment is great for children and adults. Honorable mention, if you are in the 30+ club and are not very athletic please take Ibuprofen or Tylenol before participating in some of the physical games at Level 99🤣. So this is how it works. You select at the front how long you want to play for and pay the fee. This gives you access to play all of the games as many times you want for as long as you want as long as it’s within your allotted time. They provide you with a wrist band that has your time limit on it. You use this wrist band to unlock the door to each game and play. They have a large variety of games that are physical and mental. This place reminds me of a family friendly version of Squid Games. This adventure park also has a bar (for adults) and food options located inside. Level 99 has fully earned a 15/10 in my book due to its family fun atmosphere, great pricing ($40USD for 2hour play time), friendly customer service, easy/free parking, and incredible food options (I did not get a chance to try their cocktail drinks so I am unfortunately able to rate that). I remember one room with a screen asking to 'Update your password' and other code-like text – it really makes you think on your feet! When you get your wristband, keep an eye on your time, but don't rush through the fun. A smart strategy is to try a few different types of games first – maybe a physical one, then a mental one, then something more chill like the sushi-themed environment which was such a quirky, fun spot for a quick break. This way, you figure out what you enjoy most and can then focus your remaining time. The variety is insane. One minute I was trying to crack a code on a glitch-themed wall with '502 BAD GATEWAY' messages popping up, and the next I was mesmerized walking through a hallway adorned with reflective silver spheres. Each room really feels like a new adventure, which is where the 'family-friendly Squid Game' vibe comes from – you're constantly engaged, solving, and moving. And let's talk about fueling up! The food options are genuinely great for an entertainment venue. I didn't get to try the cocktails, but the snacks and meals looked delicious and hit the spot. Having a bar inside means adults can truly unwind while the younger ones are still exploring. The free parking at Tysons Corner Mall is a huge bonus, making the whole visit stress-free from arrival. The staff were super friendly too, always ready to help if you got stuck in a game (which I definitely did a few times!). My biggest tip? Go with a group! It's so much more fun to tackle these challenges with friends or family, cheering each other on, or having a friendly competition. Whether you're decoding puzzles, scaling walls, or just enjoying the unique atmosphere, Level 99 is a fantastic way to spend a few hours. It’s definitely earned its 15/10 for me, and I'm already planning my next visit to try and beat my high scores. You won't regret checking it out!
