Roadtrip day 7

Happy last roadtrip day! We enjoyed some cute heart hotel waffles for breakfast. Made it into Iowa late last night so we decided to stop at Maquoketa today. They have a beautiful caves state park.

There are multiple hiking trails and 16 caves that you can see. They have one super big cave that was so cool! You were able to walk through the whole thing. It was so cold inside compared to the hot weather.

After our hike we drove a few more hours until we finally made it back home. It was a super fun roadtrip but I’m glad to be home :)

Our last day on the road was filled with delightful experiences. After enjoying heart-shaped waffles for breakfast, we made our way to Maquoketa, Iowa, a hidden gem known for its breathtaking caves. The Maquoketa Caves State Park offers stunning hiking trails that weave through a landscape filled with natural wonders. With 16 caves to explore, each providing a unique glimpse into the geological beauty of the region, visitors can easily spend hours wandering through these majestic formations. One of the caves is particularly impressive, allowing visitors to walk through its vast expanse, where the temperature offers a refreshing contrast to the warmth outside. After a fulfilling hike through the park, our adventure concluded as we drove back home, reflecting on the incredible memories made during the trip. Roadtrips not only offer the chance to explore new places but also to connect with nature and enjoy the journey. Here’s day 2 recap from my roadtrip. We woke up in St. Louis and decided to go to the Gateway arch. The arch is really a staple of the city. My boyfriend had never been before so I suggested it be the first thing we do. We saw the beautiful courthouse which is sadly under construction currently.
