Coffee Shops in CLT
I don’t even drink coffee that much but I can’t stay out of a coffee shop. This shop is called Thousand Hills Coffee and it’s in the LOSO neighborhood of Charlotte! Super cute and chill vibe! The drink I had was a holiday special but I’ll be back to try a drink on their regular menu. Where do you guys get your coffee in CLT?

Okay, so my recent visit to Thousand Hills Coffee in Charlotte's LoSo neighborhood was such a delightful surprise! Seriously, even if you're not a huge coffee drinker, you'll appreciate the super cute and chill vibe there. But let's be real, Charlotte's coffee scene is buzzing, and there's so much more to explore beyond just one spot. I've been on a mission lately to discover the best of CLT's coffee culture, from cozy hidden gems to those bustling hubs. While Thousand Hills offers a unique calm in LoSo, I know a lot of you might be regulars at places like Coffee Republic, especially if you're often around the Ballantyne area. That popular spot at 14825 Ballantyne Village Way Suite 135 definitely has its own charm, perhaps for a quick grab-and-go before work or a lively weekend catch-up. I always feel like different neighborhoods offer distinct coffee experiences, don't you? LoSo, for instance, has this emerging, artsy feel that Thousand Hills perfectly embodies. Speaking of Thousand Hills, I was so impressed with their menu. It’s not just your standard hot or cold coffee. They have specialities like the 'Rwandan Chill' that caught my eye, and even a 'Slow Bar' if you're into those meticulously crafted brews. I saw options for 'Caramel Vanilla Coffee', 'Cold Brew', and even a 'Nitro Cold Brew' – perfect for those hot Charlotte days. And for tea lovers, they have 'Vanilla Chai Chill' and 'Cinnamon Oolong Tea'. Prices seemed reasonable too, like a 'Drip 16oz' for $3.50 or a 'BOMBO CHILL' for $5.50. I even noticed they offer 'Extras' like extra shots or dairy alternatives for a small fee, which is always a plus for customizing your drink. What I love about places like Thousand Hills is that they focus on quality and atmosphere. You go there for the experience, to sit and soak it all in. In contrast, a place like Coffee Republic in Ballantyne might cater more to the busy professional crowd, offering quick service and a consistent taste you can rely on. It really depends on what kind of coffee experience you're craving that day! My advice for exploring Charlotte's coffee shops? Embrace the variety! Don't be afraid to venture into different neighborhoods. Check out places with unique offerings, whether it's a special 'Drip Chills' or a 'Chocolate Caramel Coffee'. Look for those local spots that prioritize sourcing (like Rwandan beans!) or unique preparation methods. And always ask your barista for details – they’re usually happy to share! What are some of your go-to coffee spots in CLT, and what makes them special to you? I'd love to hear your recommendations, especially if you've found another chill spot like Thousand Hills or a bustling favorite in an area like Ballantyne Village!
