🤍 Labor & Emergency Surgery 🏥

I had gone MIA for a few weeks for two different reasons.🏥

🤰🏻My baby boy came into the world. 💙🍼👶🏻

• It was the most beautiful experience ever. I was allowing myself to enjoy every single moment with my husband and our new little one.

• I honestly cannot complain, things have been so great. I’ve enjoyed every moment of parenthood so far. 🥹

• From early morning feedings to the late night ones, to diaper changes and cuddles, to bath time and tummy time, being able to do all of that with my little boy is a blessing. 👶🏻🍼💙

🚨Due to pregnancy, I ended up needing an emergency laparoscopic cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder).🤕

• Throughout the pregnancy, I would have severe gallbladder attacks. The pain was HORRIBLE. I genuinely thought it would go away after labor, but I was wrong. 🙃

• I ended up at the ER twice, the first time they sent me home and had me schedule an appt with a surgeon. The second time I went in, the on call surgeon stepped in and took my case. 😅

• Recovery with a newborn is not for the weak, I can’t wait to remove my staples and get back to normal. I ended up with a total of 13 staples. 🥺😢

I am hoping to have a speedy recovery to get back in track. I want to be able to carry my little one and do my regular everyday things. 🥺

Many women experience gallbladder issues during pregnancy due to hormonal changes and dietary adjustments. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, a minimally invasive surgery, is increasingly common for pregnant women dealing with severe gallbladder problems. It’s important for new moms to prioritize their health and recovery to ensure they can care for their little ones effectively. Post-surgery, incorporating healthy eating habits can support healing. Focus on easy-to-digest foods and adequate hydration, which can help manage pain and boost recovery. Additionally, support systems, such as family and friends, can be invaluable during this time. Engaging in gentle physical activities, when cleared by a doctor, can also promote faster recovery. Remember, recovery is a journey, and it's okay to seek help as you navigate your new role as a parent.
