lactating MOOOM 🐮🐮🐮

Not sure if you’ve seen this lactation drink recipe on tiktok but I love it! I grab one of the pitchers that I have and add one water bottle, after that I’ll add a liquid IV packet and mix it together. Once it’s well mixed, I will go ahead and add 10 fl oz of strawberry banana body armour and I will top off with coconut water. After mixing it together, it’s ready to be served. I get to drink about 3 cups a day out of the pitcher. It keeps me hydrated aside from all the water drinking I’m doing all day long. 🥤

Give it a try and lmk what you all think 😋😋

... Read moreHey fellow moms! We all know how demanding breastfeeding can be, and one thing I quickly learned is just how vital hydration is for both our bodies and our milk supply. Beyond just getting enough water, I’ve found that incorporating specific lactation drinks into my daily routine has made a huge difference. I like to call my concoction a "lactation drink" powerhouse because it truly helps me feel energized and keeps my milk flowing! Many of you might be wondering why certain ingredients pop up in these recipes. Take coconut water, for instance. It's not just a trendy drink! It's packed with electrolytes like potassium, which are essential when you're losing fluids through breastfeeding. I've noticed a significant improvement in my energy levels when I consistently add it to my daily hydration. Similarly, electrolyte packets or drinks like Liquid IV and Body Armor, which are often mentioned alongside coconut water, replenish those vital minerals that can get depleted, especially on those extra busy days or after a long night feeding. This combination forms a fantastic base for any effective lactation drink. While my personal 'lactation drink' blends work wonders, it’s also good to know about other natural helpers. Many moms find success with traditional galactagogues – foods and herbs known to support milk production. Things like oats (think oatmeal or lactation cookies!), flaxseed, brewer's yeast, and fenugreek are popular choices. I love adding a scoop of ground flaxseed to my morning smoothie or making a batch of oat-based lactation bites for a quick snack. These ingredients, combined with plenty of fluids, create a powerful synergy for your milk supply. It’s not just about what you drink, but also about consistency. I find prepping my 'lactation drink' pitcher the night before makes it so much easier to grab and sip throughout the day. Set reminders on your phone if you need to! And remember, while these natural remedies and hydration tips are fantastic, every mom's journey is unique. If you're experiencing significant concerns about your milk supply, please don't hesitate to reach out to a lactation consultant or your healthcare provider. They can offer personalized advice and rule out any underlying issues; for instance, discussing medical options like Domperidone is best done with a professional. My goal is always to support my milk supply naturally, and these drinks are a big part of that, but professional guidance is invaluable when needed. Finding what works best for you is a process. Don't get discouraged if one recipe doesn't immediately 'boost' your supply overnight. Consistency is key, along with a healthy diet, adequate rest (easier said than done, I know!), and frequent nursing or pumping. This 'lactation drink' has truly become a staple in my routine, making me feel more nourished and confident in my breastfeeding journey. Experiment with different flavors and ingredients to make your own delicious and effective blends. Cheers to healthy, hydrated, and happy breastfeeding!
