How to start making games👾

I’m aware this is a lot to read, but it’s a beginners guide for becoming apart of the game creating space!

I had no idea where to start when I became interested, but I went to a game jam and got to learn so much in just 48 hours!

Disclaimer: this is not the perfect guide, but it’s insight I can provide through my experience! I hope this helps!

Engaging in game jams is another fantastic way to immerse yourself in game development. These events often have tight deadlines, pushing you to create a playable game within a limited timeframe. Participating in game jams not only hones your skills but also connects you with a community of like-minded developers eager to share knowledge and experiences. Websites like itch.io not only host these jams but also provide a platform to showcase your games. Remember, crafting a game is a process filled with learning curves.
