Attention moms!!
Yesterday we were getting my daughter’s school stuff ready as she is about to start first grade. She sees me put SS and asks me why I didn’t put her name like last year. I explained to her that if a stranger picked up her backpack they’d know her name. She said so? I said so, then they could use your name to build your trust such as “I know your name because I work/friends with your mom/dad”. It immediately clicked for her. 💜
For some this may be a no brainer. However last year I’ll be the first to admit I put my daughter’s full name on her backpack. It was not until soon after she started school I learned the dangers of doing so. This doesn’t just go for our littles as well!
