What's in My Work Bag: Everyday Essentials. 💼

This brown leather tote is equal parts function and style. it stands upright (no slouching!), and it fits all my must-have while still looking polished. I like to use pouches to keep all of my items neatly organized and easy to find.Let's see what I carry inside. 😍

1. Inspirational planner.📓 I like to start my day with a positive mindset, and seeing these quotes gives me a little boost.

2. Pink spiral meeting notebook.🗒 My go-to for meetings, I never walk into one without it.

3. Sharpie gel pens with purple ink.🖋 These are my favorite pens for smudge free writing. I'm a bit of a pen snob, and these never let me down. Whether I'm signing documents or jotting a quick note, I'll know I'll have a reliable pen on hand.

4. Brown leather notebook: 📒An extra notebook never hurt anybody.

5. Power moves pouch. 👝 A bottle of my signature Gardenia perfume and some downy wrinkle release.

6. Blue Textured pouch. 👛 This little bag holds bathroom essentials, like wipes and poo-pourri, hand sanitizer, stain wipes and pens, lip balm, and a tiny lint brush.

7. Naloxone Kit (red pouch)🚑This isn't a typical item for most people. This is an opioid reversal kit and can save a life. I work with people who are experiencing homelessness and addiction, so it is an essential item.

Each of these items has a purpose and keeps me prepared for whatever a workday throws at me. ✨ I love how they all fit neatly into my bag, making my commute and office life easier and more organized. ❤️

... Read moreFinding the perfect balance of essentials for your work bag can truly transform your day. I've spent years refining what goes into my daily carry, and I've learned that it's not just about what you bring, but how you bring it. For me, a well-organized bag is a key to a productive and stress-free workday. One of my top tips for anyone looking to optimize their daily utility tools is embracing the power of pouches. Instead of a jumbled mess at the bottom of your bag, dedicated pouches for different categories are game-changers. For instance, I have a specific 'POWER MOVES' pouch for my quick refresh items like perfume and wrinkle release – perfect for those unexpected meetings or a quick pick-me-up. Then there's my blue textured pouch, which is a lifesaver for all those 'just-in-case' bathroom essentials: hand sanitizer, stain remover wipes, lip balm, and even a tiny lint brush. These might seem small, but they address common daily inconveniences and are truly essential utility tools. Let's talk about staying mentally sharp and organized. My inspirational planner isn't just a schedule; it's a daily dose of positivity that keeps me focused and motivated. I wholeheartedly recommend finding a planner that resonates with you, whether it's one with motivational quotes or a minimalist design. It helps to structure your thoughts and provides a quick reference for your day. Alongside it, a dedicated 'pink spiral meeting notebook' is non-negotiable for me. Having a separate space for meeting notes helps keep project details clear and prevents important action items from getting lost in general jottings. For anyone juggling multiple projects, a system like this is incredibly useful. And of course, the right writing tools make all the difference. I'm a bit particular about my pens, and my Sharpie S-Gel pens with purple ink are my absolute favorite. The smooth, smudge-free writing is a small luxury that makes signing documents or jotting down notes much more enjoyable. It’s worth investing in pens you love, as they are truly daily utility tools that you interact with constantly. Finally, while some items are universal, others are specific to your personal circumstances. For me, carrying a red 'Naloxone kit' is a non-negotiable utility tool. My work often brings me into contact with vulnerable populations, and having the means to potentially save a life is a profound responsibility and an essential part of my preparedness. It’s a powerful reminder that our daily carry can extend beyond personal convenience to genuine community care. Ultimately, curating your work bag is a personal journey. Think about your daily challenges, your needs, and what brings you peace of mind. By thoughtfully selecting your daily utility tools and organizing them effectively, you'll feel prepared, confident, and ready to tackle whatever your day brings.
