Songs that changed my life

Looking back, I can’t believe I packed up and moved to a whole new state—completely alone—after losing my dad and going through heartbreak. No job, no plan… just hope and a prayer that things would fall into place.

Then one day, I stumbled across It Keeps Happening for Me on YouTube, and I broke down. It felt like the song was speaking directly to me. I sang it constantly (and still do), letting it lift my spirits and keep me going.

Every song on this list has shaped me in some way—they all hit deep.

Ironically, mine is a Christian song as well. My song is “Worn” by Tenth Avenue North. I remember when this song came out. I was driving and had to pull over because I was in tears. It just hit me out of nowhere.
