How to Give Something Over to God Bible Study

It is not easy to give something over to God that’s why I created this biblical format that not only the Bible reinforces it also speaks to the human tendency of picking it back up again. It is a process and these 8 steps will help you navigate them with supporting Bible verses so you can confidently traverse this often difficult thing to do. #biblejournal #biblenotes #biblestudynotes #biblestudytime #biblestudymoments

... Read moreGiving something over to God is often easier said than done. From my own experience and from insights shared in this study, it’s clear that surrendering to God is not a one-time event but a continuous process. The tendency to pick back up what we have surrendered is very human, and understanding this pattern can help us remain steadfast in our faith journey. One key aspect that stood out to me is the importance of trusting in God's character. Scriptures such as Isaiah 20:3-4 and Exodus 14:13-14 remind us to trust and rest in Him. This resting comes from remembering who God is: a loving, faithful guide who leads us through challenges. Hebrews 11 highlights the faith of many who entrusted their problems to God, showing us that faith involves confidence in God's promises even when we do not see immediate results. In implementing the 8-step process, I found it helps to journal my thoughts and prayers, reflecting on each step and corresponding Bible verse. This creates a tangible way to connect spiritually and track progress in surrender. It’s also reassuring to recognize that rest in God grows from constant remembrance of His nature and past faithfulness. Moreover, awareness of the struggle to fully surrender helps in being compassionate with ourselves. When feelings of doubt or fear arise, turning back to these scriptural promises can restore courage and peace. Learning from others’ experiences in Bible study groups or online forums encourages perseverance. Ultimately, surrendering to God is an ongoing practice involving trust, rest, and remembrance of who God is. This 8-step guide is a valuable tool that complements personal reflection and prayer, helping believers confidently navigate the challenges of letting go and allowing God to lead.
