It feels like just yesterday I found out, and now I'm officially more than halfway through this incredible journey, especially with two little ones on the way! It's such a surreal feeling to think about everything that's happening inside. At 22 weeks, my babies are growing so fast! I've read they're each about the size of a spaghetti squash or a papaya, measuring around 10-11 inches long from head to heel and weighing about a pound each. It's amazing to imagine two tiny humans developing so rapidly in there. Their senses are really starting to kick in—they can hear sounds from the outside world, and their little eyelids are forming. I often wonder what they're hearing or dreaming about! And speaking of movement, this is truly one of the most magical parts! I've been feeling those precious baby moves more and more consistently now. It started as little flutters, almost like butterflies or gas, but now they're definite kicks and wiggles. Sometimes it feels like a little dance party is happening in my belly, especially when I'm relaxing in the evening. It's such a comforting reminder that they're both in there, active and thriving. I remember wondering, "How many weeks were you when you first felt your baby move?" and now I'm experiencing it with two! It's a question I often see pop up in online communities. As for symptoms, I'm definitely feeling the full spectrum of a 22-week twin pregnancy. My energy levels have been pretty good lately, but I do get tired more easily than before. Swelling in my feet and hands is starting to become a thing, and I've noticed my back protesting a bit more after a long day. The hunger... oh, the hunger is real! I feel like I'm constantly snacking to keep up with the demands of nourishing two growing babies. It’s all part of what to expect at this stage, and while some days are more challenging, every kick makes it worth it. I'm also trying to stay on top of all the preparations. We've started thinking about nursery decor and what essentials we'll need for twins. It feels a bit overwhelming at times, but also incredibly exciting. Regular prenatal appointments are key, of course, and it's always reassuring to hear their heartbeats. My mood has been generally content, rated about a 7/10 lately – mostly happy and excited, with a few moments of 'oh my goodness, two babies!' thrown in. This journey is truly unique, and I'm cherishing every moment. If you're also around 22 weeks pregnant, especially with twins, I'd love to hear how you're feeling and what your biggest milestones or challenges have been. We're in this together!
