My 10-year anniversary 🥰🌸
So I'm celebrating 10 years of friendship with these two wonderful women, whom I met during my time of chaos, moving to a new country on a different part of the continent, different culture, values, and expectation. From Community College to university, now working as professionals and talking about adult things. 😀
I know we didn't lose each other because of how precious our time spent together have been, and how much fun we have when we are together. America has been bearable because you were always with me, and it has been wonderful because I weathered the storms with you too.
Here's to more life, meeting people from different parts of the world and becoming more than family.
We insisted on eating at sugar and scribes, and we did 🤣.
I wish you all precious friends.
Happy Saturday

Celebrating a 10-year friendship anniversary isn't just about marking time; it's about acknowledging a profound journey, a shared history, and the incredible bond that has grown stronger with every passing year. When I think back to my own recent 10-year milestone with two incredible women, it fills my heart with so much warmth. We’ve navigated so many life changes together – from the initial chaos of moving to a new country, adjusting to a different culture, to facing the academic pressures of community college and university, and now, settling into our professional lives. It truly makes you appreciate the unwavering presence of 'friends for life.' The phrase 'TEN YERS WENT BY FAST BECAUSE OF YOU TWO' couldn't be more true. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over a decade of friendship is the importance of intentionality. Life gets busy, careers take off, and relationships evolve. It’s easy to drift apart if you don't actively work to stay connected. We always made an effort to carve out time for each other, whether it was regular catch-up calls, weekend getaways, or simple brunches that turned into hours of reminiscing. These dedicated moments are what solidified our bond, reminding us of the precious time we'd spent together and all the fun we continued to have. We often joke about 'Getting Old Together,' but it's a beautiful sentiment that speaks to our enduring connection. Speaking of brunches, our recent celebration at Sugar & Scribes in La Jolla, CA, was absolutely perfect. There’s something truly special about sharing a delicious meal with people who know you inside and out. We indulged in some amazing dishes, making it a true feast for our '10-year friendship anniversary' celebration. The table was laden with breakfast dishes that truly hit the spot. We enjoyed a fantastic Southern breakfast with savory shrimp and grits, garnished with fresh microgreens, which was incredibly flavorful. And of course, the fluffy blueberry pancakes, topped with cream and fresh berries, were a delightful treat. The atmosphere was just as delightful – a cozy bakery setting with display cases full of tempting pastries and a large tiered cake, hinting at all the sweet memories made there. It was more than just food; it was about creating another beautiful memory, adding to the countless ones we already share. Maintaining friendships through different life stages, especially when you're geographically separated or dealing with distinct personal challenges, requires effort. We’ve supported each other through tough times, celebrated big wins, and simply been there to listen without judgment. It’s a testament to the fact that friendship, much like any significant relationship, thrives on empathy, understanding, and a willingness to adapt. For anyone looking to commemorate their own 10-year friendship anniversary, I highly recommend finding a special place and indulging in shared experiences that reflect your unique bond. It doesn’t have to be extravagant; it could be revisiting a place that holds significance, cooking a meal together, or simply spending quality time reminiscing. What matters most is honoring the connection and expressing gratitude for those who have weathered life's storms with you. These are the people who make life bearable, and incredibly wonderful. Here's to many more years of friendship and making memories!
