IPL✨
Just got my first IPL laser done today. Hoping it gets rid of some of my sun damage. I will post more pics once I’m fully recovered.
So, you're here because you're curious about the Kenzzi IPL, just like I was! After seeing countless "before my glow-up" posts and reviews, I finally took the plunge and started my own Kenzzi IPL journey today. My main goal? To tackle some stubborn sun damage that's been bothering me for ages and achieve that radiant, even skin tone. This isn't just a quick fix; it's a commitment to a better me, and I'm excited to share every step of my experience with you. Before diving in, I did a ton of research. Why Kenzzi? Well, professional IPL can be quite costly, and while effective, I wanted a more convenient and budget-friendly option. Kenzzi consistently popped up in reviews as a top contender for at-home IPL devices. I loved the idea of treating my skin on my own schedule, plus its reputation for being effective on sun spots and improving overall skin texture really sold me. It’s designed for ease of use, and many users reported significant improvements in hyperpigmentation, which is exactly what I'm hoping for. Prepping for my first session was pretty straightforward. The Kenzzi manual emphasizes having clean, dry skin and avoiding sun exposure beforehand. I made sure my face was free of any makeup or lotions. Since it's an IPL device, a patch test is always a good idea, which I did a day prior to ensure no adverse reactions. Safety first, right? I also made sure to shave any fine hairs on my face, as the light targets pigment, and it’s most effective on hair-free skin. Now, for the main event: my first Kenzzi IPL session! Holding the device, it felt comfortable in my hand. I started on a lower setting to get a feel for it, gradually increasing it as I went along, ensuring it was comfortable but still effective. The sensation? It’s a bit like a warm flash of light followed by a tiny, quick snap, like a rubber band flicking against your skin. It wasn't painful for me, more like a mild discomfort in certain areas, especially around my cheekbones where my sun spots are most prominent. Each flash covers a decent area, so I systematically went over my face, making sure to overlap slightly for even coverage. The whole process for my face took about 10-15 minutes – super quick! Immediately after, my skin felt a little warm, almost like a mild sunburn, and I noticed a slight pinkness, especially where I’d focused on the sun damage. This is totally normal, according to Kenzzi users and their guides. The key post-treatment care involves moisturizing thoroughly and, most importantly, applying a high SPF sunscreen every single day, even indoors. Sun protection is non-negotiable, especially when treating sun damage with IPL, as your skin will be more sensitive. I’m prepared for my sun spots to possibly darken a bit before they start to fade, which is a common part of the IPL process. I'm really excited about this "glow-up" journey with my Kenzzi IPL. While it's just my first session, I'm optimistic about the results, especially for evening out my skin tone and reducing those stubborn sun spots. If you're considering an at-home IPL for similar concerns, I hope my initial review helps. I'll be sharing consistent updates on my progress, so definitely stay tuned to see how my skin transforms! Wish me luck on this path to clearer, more radiant skin! ✨
