In two years, I had three interviews at SpaceX. The first time, I got stuck in round 3 when I was just switching to a coding career. The next two times, after a year of work experience, I hit a wall in the final round.
1) you’ll do a 1-minute intro, talk through your education and work, confirm things like sponsorship or relocation, answer “Why SpaceX?”, and chat briefly about your tech stack.
2) it is a 4-hour OA, you download a package to run tests, and funnily enough, I got the same question all three times.
3) there is a 1-hour engineer meeting, first two times it was just deep dives into my resume and the third time they added system design. I failed this round. Basically, they’ll ask how you handle conflict, stress, or shifting priorities, and if you can keep up with SpaceX’s fast pace.
