The lyrics are garbage but the beat slaps

I don’t hate Katseye’s music but I’m far from a superfan. When they first dropped, I was lowkey curious, Debut and Touch were solid enough, nothing mindblowing. Their vibe back then just basic “pretty prep girl” energy, which felt safe and easy to get into. Then Gnarly hit, I loved the bossy girl concept switch, even if the song took forever to grow on me (still think the lyrics are garbage, but the beat slaps).

Here’s the issue, the Gnarly era’s basically done but the girls are leaning way too hard into that like full on LA mean girl mode. And their attitude pushed me to stop engaging with Eyekons or any Katseye stuff. If they stick with this image? I’ll check out fast. We already deal with that stuck up vibe from NYC/LA influencers 24/7 online, who needs more of it from a girl group?
