Is Becoming A Journalist Worth It?
It is so worth it! ✍️🏾❤️⬇️
I love every step of this journey.
Growing up, my mother would tell me that anything good in life doesn't come easy.
Whenever she would tell me this quote, it let me know that I have to put the work in to get things that are worth fighting for.
In my mind, I knew that if I wanted something bad enough, I have to make sacrifices for it.
When I decided to become a journalist, I knew I had to have a strong mentality to embark on this journey.
The journey to become a journalist wasn't easy, but it is so worth it!
There are countless nights I spent studying, reading, researching, writing articles, editing pictures, and editing videos.
I enjoy every second of it because I am leaving a legacy behind for journalists and for people whose legacies are tied to the stories I'm reporting on.
Whenever I get weary, I just keep my mind on the trailblazers before me and the future generation behind me.
I love what I do, and I'm in it for the long run no matter how hard the journey gets.
