Butters story
we came home one day back in late March and found a very malnourished, terrified, and later realized- abused Pitbull running through our yard.
we took him into our local PAWS where he was held for a 5 day stray hold, and as SOON as the hold was up- We went back and adopted him.
a couple of days later, we discovered through several vet trips and an almost ☠️ pup later that he had a pre-existing blockage that was slowly taking him from us.... I can't count how many car rides we had where I wasn't sure if he was going to make it or not.
he had the initial surgery and soon went back in for another one due to a hernia.
it was very rough and touch and go for a long while.
but now he's healthy. packing on weight. finding his voice. loving life. and being loved right back.
he's come such a long way from the frightened skeleton that I found almost an entire year ago.
