Hannah Harvey what is a janitor within her own family’s company. After one solo vacation and a meeting a golden retriever man. She has a one night stand then weeks later found out that she’s pregnant 🤰🏽! She comes to the decision to be a single mom raise a baby on her own. Keeping it a secret and away from the man she had the one night stand with would be easy since you lived across the country. Little did she know that Mr. one night stand the Barry Wright was a famous hockey player he gets traded to her city. What could go wrong?

Ready to start the day excited to join his new team. Barry goes to the training facility only to stumble upon a pregnant woman asleep. What was even more of a shock was it was the girl he had stand with a few months back who he hasn’t stopped thinking about. Barry is determined to help her through this pregnancy and support her in any way that she needs. Even if that means living in her grandma‘s death basement.

Eventually, Hannah comes to her senses and has decided to let him in and play a part in both her and her baby’s future!

I absolutely loved this book. The characters and the growth that they shared together while also self facing their individual battles. Honestly, this book was top-tier. I love how we were able to see Hannah‘s growth as a person from her feeling like she wasn’t worthy of any type of love to finally fully accepting that and more.

I absolutely love Barry. He was just a complete golden retriever boyfriend. It did hurt my heart, but he was never gonna know about the baby had he not run into Hannah in the training facility. That man deserves the sun and the moon. He was so loving and giving the things he was willing to do just to make sure that his baby was well taken care of/the mother of his child is honestly unparalleled to what most men in today’s society are willing to offer.

I absolutely hope that there is a second book with some of the other characters that we saw throughout the story.

... Read moreAs someone who has always been drawn to heartfelt romance stories with unique twists, this accidental pregnancy hockey romance really stood out to me. What makes this story so compelling is how it combines the excitement of professional sports with deeply personal, relatable challenges. Hannah’s journey from feeling unworthy of love to embracing her future as a mother is something many readers will connect with on a personal level. It’s rare to see such genuine character growth paired with the backdrop of a hockey player’s demanding career. Barry’s character captured my heart as well—a true example of golden retriever energy, always loyal, loving, and willing to go the extra mile for the woman he cares about and their baby. The dynamics between him and Hannah, especially the forced proximity aspect when he moves into her grandma’s basement, bring both humor and tenderness to the narrative. It’s refreshing to see a male protagonist willing to step up in a way that defies common stereotypes about commitment and fatherhood. The inclusion of tropes like surprise pregnancy and found family make this story even richer. It’s nice to see these familiar elements handled with nuance and sensitivity, giving readers a fresh spin on classic romance plots. I was also intrigued by the community feel surrounding the characters, suggesting potential for spin-offs or sequels focusing on other town residents. For anyone who appreciates romance novels that balance emotional depth with moments of lightness and humor, this book is a great pick. Plus, the authentic portrayal of hockey culture adds a unique flavor that makes the story stand out in the crowded world of romance fiction. If you love stories where love grows unexpectedly but beautifully, and where characters evolve through real struggles and support, this accidental pregnancy hockey romance is definitely worth your time.
