My CS Time Management System I Used at UCLA
Through lots of undergrad projects at UCLA, some specific tips have helped me really stay on top of my work. Here’s a few you can try:
Break tasks into chunks: Realistic chunking prevents burnout and makes scheduling in sessions for study even easier, especially when you have an otherwise busy schedule.
Buffer time: A good rule of thumb is to add at least 25% to estimated hours needed for an assignment. Particularly when it comes to CS, debugging can take a surprising amount of time.
Daily commits: Small, working changes beat large merges in CS-- the same can be applied to any major, really! Make small steps towards larger goals rather than cramming everything in at once.
