Summer Skin Tints 🌸🎀✨
I’ve been loving the minimal coverage for the summer time lately! I love these 3 the most because i have minimal sheer coverage to buildable coverage in my rotation.
ilia skin tint drops- this has been my go to all summer long. It’s so dewy and the coverage it’s minimal but buildable if you desire. It’s weightless on the skin and i love that it has spf and skincare ingredients in this so i know my skin is protected all day.
Summer Fridays shade drops- these drops are amazing. I love the packaging making it super easy to apply. these are super dewy and as someone with dry skin i can get away with these but if you are oily i wouldn’t recommend this one.
ilia complexion stick- i wear this foundation on days where i want more coverage and it’s beautiful. It makes the skin look so airbrushed all day. perfect for all skin types and it lasts all day.

Okay, so you've seen my current faves, but let's dive a little deeper into why these "Must Have Skin Tints" are game-changers, especially when you're aiming for that perfect dewy finish and sheer coverage. I know how frustrating it can be to find a product that truly lives up to its promises, so I've picked up a few tricks along the way. First, let's talk about that 'before and after' effect with sheer coverage. When I first started using skin tints, I was skeptical. Would it really make a difference without feeling heavy? And the answer is a resounding YES! Before applying a sheer skin tint, my skin might look a bit uneven, perhaps some redness around my nose, or a few minor blemishes peeking through. It's my natural skin, but sometimes I just want to smooth things out a bit. After applying, it's like my skin but better—the redness is toned down, small imperfections are blurred, and there's this gorgeous, healthy glow. It's not about hiding, it's about enhancing. The key is to find that sweet spot between just enough coverage to even out your tone and still letting your natural skin shine through. That's where these dewy coverage options truly excel. For achieving that perfect dewy finish, application truly matters. I usually start with well-hydrated skin – a good moisturizer is non-negotiable, especially for us dry-skinned folks! For the Ilia Skin Tint Drops, I love putting a few drops on the back of my hand and then dabbing it onto my face with my fingers, blending outwards. The warmth of your fingers really helps it melt into the skin, giving you that seamless, second-skin feel. For a slightly more polished look, a damp beauty sponge works wonders for pressing it in and ensuring that dewy glow isn't overdone. Remember, the goal is natural radiance, not a greasy look! The fact that many of these, like Ilia, come packed with skincare ingredients and SPF is just the cherry on top, protecting your skin while making it look amazing. Now, for those of you with different skin types, hear me out. While I adore the Summer Fridays Shade Drops for their sheer coverage and dewy finish, I did mention they might be a bit too much for very oily skin. But don't despair if you're on the oilier side and still craving that glow! You can absolutely achieve a dewy look. My tip? Focus your dewy application on the high points of your face (cheekbones, brow bone) and use a light dusting of translucent powder only in your T-zone. This allows you to get that radiant effect without feeling shiny all over. The Ilia Complexion Stick is fantastic for all skin types because it offers more medium coverage that still looks natural and helps blur imperfections without being overly dewy. It's my go-to when I want a bit more perfection without sacrificing that healthy skin feel. Choosing the right skintint is all about understanding what you want your skin to look like. Do you want minimal coverage for a 'no-makeup' makeup day? Or something that offers a bit more to blur imperfections while still looking natural? These skin tint options really bridge that gap beautifully. They're designed to make your skin look like *skin*, just a healthier, glowier version. Experiment with application methods—fingers, brush, or sponge—to see what gives you your desired level of sheer coverage and dewy radiance. Trust me, once you find your perfect blend, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them!
