Dark Academia is the aesthetic and subculture that "romantisizes" the world of European classical academia - old university images, dark wood libraries, hardcover books, Latin-Greek - but with emotional, dull, mysterious, semi-gothic, latent obsession with knowledge, history, art, literature, and the concepts of time, death, and the invincibility of written works.
