I tried the NY Style Pastrami, and the combination of pastrami, melted provolone, deli mustard, mayo, and Italian dressing on a toasted sub roll really hit the spot. What I particularly enjoyed was how the flavors balanced—savory pastrami complemented by creamy cheese and tangy dressings. Beyond the subs, I also appreciated the sides; their chips were satisfyingly salty and perfect as a quick snack alongside the hefty sandwiches. Pricing was reasonable too, with subs like the Honey Ham & Turkey offering a lighter but still fulfilling option. The atmosphere at Westfield Garden City added to the experience—easy to find and a nice spot to grab a casual lunch or dinner. If you love hearty American-style sandwiches and want to experience something different from the usual Brisbane offerings, Firehouse Subs is worth a visit. Whether you’re a fan of brisket, meatballs, or classics like pastrami, the quality and taste make it a standout option. I’m planning to return soon for another round of the brisket and cheddar, which was also delicious. Overall, this new store is a fantastic addition to Brisbane’s food scene and brings that authentic US sub experience right to our doorstep.
