ถ้าถามเรื่อง “ประสิทธิภาพ” ของเครื่อง IPL แบบทำเองที่บ้าน เราว่ามันไม่ได้วัดกันแค่ขนหายไวแค่ไหน แต่ต้องดู 3 อย่างพร้อมกันคือ 1) ขนบางลง/ขึ้นช้าลงจริงไหม 2) ผิวระคายเคืองน้อยลงไหม (จุดแดง/ขนคุดลดไหม) และ 3) ทำต่อเนื่องได้ไหวหรือเปล่า เพราะ IPL ต้องใช้เวลาและความสม่ำเสมอค่ะ จากประสบการณ์คนที่เคยโกน+ครีมกำจัดขนแล้วเจอขนแข็งเส้นหนา พอมาใช้ CAVY Plus IPL สิ่งที่ช่วยให้เห็นผลชัดขึ้น (และลดพลาด) คือการเตรียมผิวก่อนทำให้ถูกต้อง 1) โกนก่อนยิง ไม่ถอน/แว็กซ์ หลายคนอยากให้ “เรียบ” เลยเผลอถอนหรือแว็กซ์ก่อน แต่ IPL ทำงานกับรากขนและเม็ดสี ถ้าถอนออกไปหมด ประสิทธิภาพมักตก เราเลยใช้มีดโกนโกนให้ชิดผิวแทน แล้วค่อยยิงตาม 2) เริ่มระดับที่ผิวรับได้ แล้วค่อยไต่ ถ้ากังวลเรื่องเจ็บหรือผิวไหม้ เราแนะนำเริ่มจากระดับต่ำสุดก่อน ลองเฉพาะจุดเล็กๆ แล้วค่อยเพิ่มระดับในครั้งถัดไป ความรู้สึกตอนทำจะออกแนวอุ่นๆ/ดีดเบาๆ มากกว่าความเจ็บจี๊ด (แต่แต่ละคนไม่เท่ากัน) รุ่นที่มีหัวทำความเย็นจะช่วยให้ทำต่อเนื่องง่ายขึ้นด้วย 3) ทาเจลว่านหางจระเข้หลังทำ ช่วยลดแดง หลังยิงเสร็จ เราทาเจลว่านหางจระเข้บางๆ ทันที โดยเฉพาะบริเวณที่เคยมีจุดแดง/ระคายเคืองง่าย รู้สึกว่าผิวสงบลงไว และทำให้กล้าทำต่อเนื่องมากขึ้น 4) หลีกเลี่ยงแดด + ทากันแดดสม่ำเสมอ อันนี้ส่งผลต่อ “ประสิทธิภาพ” ทางอ้อมเลย เพราะถ้าผิวไหม้แดดหรือระคายเคืองง่าย จะทำให้ต้องเว้นช่วงนานและขาดความต่อเนื่อง เราจะเลี่ยงทำวันที่ออกแดดจัด และทากันแดดบริเวณแขน/ขาทุกวัน 5) คาดหวังผลลัพธ์แบบเป็นขั้นบันได ช่วง 2 สัปดาห์แรก เราจะสังเกตว่า “ขนขึ้นช้าลง” ก่อน ไม่ได้หายเกลี้ยงทันที พอประมาณ 1 เดือน สิ่งที่เห็นชัดคือขนใหม่เริ่มเส้นบางลงและไม่แข็งเหมือนตอนโกนบ่อยๆ และบริเวณที่เคยเป็นขนคุดก็มีแนวโน้มลดลง เพราะเราไม่ต้องโกนถี่เท่าเดิม สรุปในมุมเรา ถ้าถามว่าเครื่อง IPL แบบนี้มีประสิทธิภาพไหม: มีค่ะ แต่ต้องทำให้ถูกวิธีและสม่ำเสมอ จุดที่คุ้มสุดคือช่วยลดปัญหาขนแข็งเส้นหนา/ผิวเป็นจุดแดงจากการโกน และประหยัดเวลาไปคลินิกได้เยอะ ใครลังเล แนะนำลองตั้งเป้าทำต่อเนื่องอย่างน้อย 4 สัปดาห์ แล้วค่อยประเมินจาก “ก่อน-หลัง” ของขนแขน/ขนขา จะเห็นความต่างง่ายขึ้นค่ะ
