When they light up, one in a vibrant golden hue (the Sun Pagoda) and the other in a soft silver (the Moon Pagoda), their reflection shimmers on the calm water of Shan Lake. It's an absolutely breathtaking sight, perfect for incredible photos and just soaking in the serene atmosphere. Seriously, the illuminated Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas are a spectacle you won't forget. Getting there is quite easy. They're centrally located in Guilin, part of the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area. I just took a local taxi, and it dropped me off right near the entrance to the park surrounding the lake. You can walk around the lake freely, and there are plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the view. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even take a boat cruise on Shan Lake at night to see them from a different perspective. That's definitely on my list for next time! You're also not far from other attractions in Guilin, making it easy to combine a visit here with exploring more of the city.
