CV Exotics

... Read moreI recently had the most incredible experience visiting CV Exotics in Hampstead, New Hampshire, and I just had to share it! When I first walked in, my immediate thought was, 'Wow, what a neat place!' It's not just a pet store; it truly feels like a mini-zoo or a specialized sanctuary for some of the most fascinating creatures on Earth. What really struck me was the sheer diversity of animals. The information from the posters I saw perfectly captures it – they really do have an entire 'World of Reptiles & Amphibians' and a 'World of Insects & Arachnids' packed into one spot! I saw so many different types of reptiles. There were beautiful, brown and black patterned snakes, probably boas, coiled gracefully on wood chips, looking incredibly serene. And the tortoises! I even spotted a small tortoise with a patterned shell looking quite dapper, almost as if it had pixelated sunglasses on – such a charmer! Another one was just chilling, perfectly content in its enclosure. The amphibians were equally captivating. I saw several frogs, some light green, partially buried in the substrate, and others in clear enclosures surrounded by artificial plants and water dishes. They were so still and peaceful, a truly calming sight. But if you're looking for something a bit more... eight-legged, CV Exotics has you covered with their arachnids. I was particularly drawn to a tarantula with striking orange and black coloration, which someone affectionately labeled 'CUTIE PIE' – and honestly, it was! It rested calmly on its brown substrate, surprisingly elegant. It’s not every day you get to observe these creatures up close in such a welcoming environment. Beyond the live animals, which are obviously the main attraction, I noticed they also carry a wide range of supplies and feeders, as indicated on their business card I spotted. This makes it an invaluable resource for anyone who already owns exotic pets or is considering getting one. It’s clear they cater to responsible pet ownership, providing not just the animals but also the necessities to care for them properly. The environment suggested a deep level of care and expertise. For anyone who loves animals, especially the scaly, slimy, or eight-legged kind, CV Exotics is an absolute must-visit. Whether you're an experienced reptile enthusiast, curious about amphibians, or just looking for a unique family outing in New Hampshire, you'll find something to marvel at here. It’s an educational experience that lets you observe these creatures in well-maintained habitats. I left feeling so inspired and educated about these often-misunderstood animals. Seriously, if you're in the Hampstead, NH area, or even if you're just passing through, make a point to stop by. You won't regret experiencing this truly neat and exotic place firsthand!
