The Most Annoying Thing in For Honor

... Read moreOkay, so we all know For Honor can be incredibly fun and rewarding, but let's be real – it also has its moments where you just want to throw your controller across the room. While the main article touched on 'the most annoying thing,' I wanted to dive a little deeper into why Peacekeeper, specifically, can drive players absolutely mad, and maybe commiserate a bit about other common frustrations. My personal experience with Peacekeeper is a rollercoaster of pain. It's not just her light spam, though that's a huge part of it. It's the relentless pressure. You block one light, and then another one is already coming. Try to parry, and she'll often throw a soft-feint into a bleed dagger that completely catches you off guard. And that bleed! Oh my goodness, the bleed. It feels like you're constantly taking damage even when you're 'safe.' I remember one match, it felt like she bled me out in literally 3:33 (just kidding, but it felt that fast!) after landing just a couple of hits. It's truly demoralizing when your health bar is steadily ticking down, and you feel like you can't get an opening to breathe, let alone retaliate. What makes PK so frustrating for me is that she forces you to play at such a high reaction speed. If you're not on your A-game, she'll just overwhelm you. And when you're fighting multiple opponents in a team mode, a good Peacekeeper can be an absolute menace, constantly applying bleed and making it impossible to focus on anything else. Her tiny stature and quick movements also make her surprisingly hard to track sometimes, especially in the chaos of a Dominion match. Beyond Peacekeeper, what else grinds my gears in For Honor? Ganking, for sure. While it's part of the game, getting chain-cc'd by three different heroes while your teammates are off boosting points can be infuriating. Or those moments when you're about to land the killing blow, and a revenge pop from your opponent suddenly turns the tables. Don't even get me started on certain feats that feel incredibly unbalanced in specific game modes. It's these little things that stack up and sometimes make you question your life choices playing the game. But despite all this, I keep coming back. Why? Because when you do manage to parry that Peacekeeper light, or successfully clutch a 1v3, the feeling is unmatched. It's a love-hate relationship with this game, for sure.
