Hey everyone! So, I just finished my first run through Code Vein 2, and like many of you, the first thing on my mind was, 'What happens in New Game Plus?' I dove straight in to find out exactly what carries over, and let me tell you, knowing this makes a huge difference in how you approach your next playthrough! First off, the big question: what does carry over when you start Code Vein 2 New Game Plus? You'll be happy to hear that most of your hard-earned progress and gear makes the jump with you. This includes: Blood Codes: All the Blood Codes you've unlocked and leveled up will be available from the start. This is fantastic because it means you can immediately experiment with different builds or stick to your perfected favorite. Gifts: Every Gift you've acquired and mastered for your Blood Codes will carry over as well. This includes both passive and active Gifts, allowing for immediate access to powerful abilities. Weapons and Veils: All your weapons, veils, and any upgrades you've applied to them will come with you. This is a huge relief, as you won't have to re-farm your favorite gear. Make sure to upgrade your best weapons before heading into NG+! Haze: Your accumulated Haze (the game's currency/XP) transfers. This means you can immediately level up or purchase items if you've saved up a significant amount. Items: Most consumable items, materials, and crafting components will carry over. This helps greatly with early-game resource management. Character Level: Your character's current level and stats remain unchanged, so you'll be as powerful as you were at the end of your first playthrough. Memories/Vestiges: Any memories or Vestiges you've repaired and viewed will stay unlocked. Now, for what doesn't carry over, which is equally important to know: Story Progress: Unsurprisingly, the main story progression resets. You'll need to go through all the areas and boss fights again. Mistles (Checkpoints): All activated Mistles will reset. You'll have to rediscover and activate them as you progress through each area. Key Story Items: Specific quest-related key items or plot devices will not carry over, as they are tied to the story progression. Understanding what carries over is super important for planning your Code Vein 2 New Game Plus run. For me, knowing I kept all my Blood Codes and Gifts meant I could immediately jump into a challenge build I'd been wanting to try, without the grind of unlocking everything again. It also allows you to focus on mastering new areas or trying different combat strategies from the get-go. A little tip from my side: Before starting NG+, make sure you've spent any excess Haze you might have, fully upgraded your favorite gear, and perhaps even stockpiled some rare crafting materials. The enemies in NG+ are tougher, so coming prepared is key! It's a fantastic way to re-experience the world of Code Vein 2 with a fresh challenge and all the power you've earned.
