Why I became an entrepreneur Pt. #1
Becoming an entrepreneur is often more than just starting a business—it’s about reclaiming control over your time, income, and ultimately your life. From my own experience, the appeal lies deeply in the freedom to live on my own terms. In a conventional 9-to-5 job, your income and time are capped, limiting your possibilities and influencing your sense of self-worth. Entrepreneurship breaks those chains, empowering you to decide when to work, how much to earn, and where to focus your energy. When I decided to become an entrepreneur, a key motivation was to eliminate excuses others often cite about why they can’t pursue this path. Many believe entrepreneurship isn’t for them because it seems too risky or because they think they aren’t 'special' or smart enough. But the truth is, no special traits are required—just the willingness to take charge of your destiny and push through obstacles. Freedom is a recurring theme in this journey. It’s not only about financial gain, but also the ability to make choices like traveling without asking permission or planning family moments spontaneously. I cherish the ability to take my son to Disney World or travel to Paris without constraints. This freedom fuels motivation and personal growth like nothing else. Over time, entrepreneurship has taught me that self-worth is tightly linked to controlling your own path. When your job dictates your income, it indirectly controls your life decisions. Breaking away leads to a deeper connection with yourself and your ambitions. For anyone considering entrepreneurship, understand that it’s not always easy, but the rewards extend beyond money. It is about experiencing life on your own terms, embracing challenges, and finding fulfillment through self-determination. If you feel stuck, remember that the journey starts with belief in yourself and your ability to create change.
