... Read moreIf you're wondering whether to choose Azerbaijan or Georgia for your next tourist trip, I highly recommend considering your travel style and interests. Azerbaijan, especially Baku, offers a unique blend of modernity and ancient history with places like the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and the Flame Towers skyline. The city is very walkable and affordable, with metro rides costing only about 0.5AZN and many cultural attractions reasonably priced or even free, like the Maiden Tower’s outside view. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting Gobustan National Park to see the famed mud volcanoes and prehistoric rock art; the entrance fees are very manageable, making the experience accessible. Georgia, on the other hand, is often praised for its picturesque mountain landscapes and traditional wine-making culture. If outdoor activities and nature are your priorities, Georgia might edge out Azerbaijan. For a traveler on a budget who appreciates vibrant city life mixed with historical sites and less tourist-heavy paths, Azerbaijan provides great value. Plus, the local hospitality is heartwarming—hotel staff and locals often share stories and even local wine, making your stay more memorable. Travel tips: Make sure to exchange your currency to Azerbaijani Manat to avoid extra charges when paying. For transport, the BakiKart for metro rides is easy to get and economical. Finally, while bus travel from Azerbaijan to Georgia is an option, I recommend flying due to convenience and time savings. Whether you lean towards cityscapes and museums or nature wonders and vineyards, both countries offer rich experiences. My trip confirmed that Azerbaijan is an outstanding choice, especially if you want a blend of culture, history, and affordability in one exotic package.

I’ve always watched tiktoks and reels on why one should visit Kyrgyzstan, but I honestly never thought it would be so accessible! This Central Asian treasure has stunning, diverse landscapes that are relatively untouched by mass tourism. We enjoyed its natural beauty without breaking the bank - tru
