🫶 Is This True Love or Just Infatuation?

✨ Welcome or welcome back to Weekly Oracle.

If you enjoy today’s post, please share it to Pinterest, and subscribe. It lets others find their way here, too.

Today we’re talking about “How To Know If It’s True Love” because chemistry is easy to come by, butterflies aren’t always a good thing, and staying up until 2 a.m. texting about your childhood dreams is endearing…

…but true love is built under pressure.

And if you’ve ever been through a breakup, you already know all the warm and fuzzy feelings can disappear in the blink of an eye.

So today, we’re not talking about sparks.

We’re talking about strength.

Because when the honeymoon phase ends, one of two things happens:

The relationship either evolves or it collapses.

So if you want a relationship that brings abundance into your life (instead of draining you), look for these six signs:

💕 Peace.

High-drama is not passion.

Attraction should not make you anxious.

And if you’re constantly wondering where you stand, that’s not love. That’s instability.

True love feels like walking into a room where this person is, and all of a sudden, it’s easier to breathe because, somehow, the weight of the world feels manageable now.

There’s an immediate sense of calmness.

You don’t have to perform.

You don’t have to decode their tone or their body language. You don’t have to brace yourself for whatever’s gonna come out of their mouth.

True love is peace.

And the right relationship protects it.

💕 You Feel Deeply Understood.

Few people understand our patterns.

When it’s true love, your partner notices the shift in your energy. They see when you’re stressed before you say it. They care about the reason behind your reaction, not just the reaction.

True love brings emotional intelligence.

And emotional intelligence is the foundation of lasting connection.

💕 You Fight to Solve. Not to Win.

Conflict isn’t the problem.

How you handle conflict is everything.

If arguments become scorecards, the relationship loses.

But when it’s you and them versus the issue or problem… now you’re building something powerful.

❌ No weaponizing insecurities.

❌ No dragging in old wounds.

❌ No silent punishments.

Resolution over ego.

Growth over pride.

That’s real love.

💕 Your Growth Is Celebrated, Not Obstructed.

This is where relationships either expand or break.

If you start a business, commit to your health, or chase a bigger dream, what happens?

Do they cheer for you?

Or do they gaslight you?

True love wants you confident.

True love wants you winning. Because they know that when you grow, the relationship grows, too.

💕 It Shows Up in the Every-Day Boringness.

Vacations don’t build love.

Routines do.

🧺 Laundry nights.

🥬 Grocery runs.

💵 Budget meetings.

🤒 Sick days.

😥 Family stress.

This is where the truth shows up.

Anyone can shine when they’re having fun.

But can they stay present when life is repetitive, messy, and unfiltered?

True love finds meaning in the mundane.

It doesn’t need constant fireworks to feel alive.

💕 Your Boundaries Are Respected.

Space is allowed.

Individual identity is honored.

You’re not absorbed into this person.

You’re supported.

True love trusts the foundation enough to let both people breathe.

Because two strong individuals choosing each other daily is far more powerful than two people clinging to each other out of spite or fear.

🧚‍♀️ Love is not a fairytale, my friend.

It’s a decision made consistently through behavior.

It’s peace over chaos.

Growth over ego.

Teamwork over tension.

Every. Day.

And when you find that?

You’re not just in love.

You’re building a life everyone dreams of having.

If you’re reading this, I want you to ask yourself a few things:

💭 “Does this relationship inspire me to become my best self?”

💭“Does it make me stronger?”

💭“Does it make those things happen because I feel safe? Or because I’m learning a lesson and I need to leave?”

True love lets you expand and evolve into the next best version of yourself, in safe ways.

👉🏼 Share this so others can find their way here, too. 💕

... Read moreFrom personal experience, I've realized that distinguishing true love from mere infatuation is crucial for building a fulfilling relationship. Early on, excitement and 'butterflies' can often mask underlying issues, but as Weekly Oracle highlights, true love shows its strength under pressure. For me, one of the most telling signs was the sense of peace I felt when simply being around my partner—no anxiety, no overthinking, just comfort and calm. This aligns perfectly with the article's emphasis that peace is a core component of love, not high drama. Another important observation is the emotional intelligence in a relationship. I've noticed that when my partner understands my moods and feelings without me needing to explain, it creates a deep bond that infatuation rarely achieves. It makes the relationship more resilient and fulfilling. Also, true love involves working together to solve problems instead of competing to win fights—a lesson I learned the hard way in previous relationships where conflicts were about scoring points rather than seeking resolutions. Celebrating each other's growth has been another game-changer. When I started pursuing new goals, having support instead of doubt made all the difference. It motivated me, and in turn, our relationship flourished because we felt like teammates instead of competitors. I’ve also learned that the mundane routines—doing chores, grocery shopping, managing finances, handling stressful family situations—reveal the reality of love. Those everyday moments test patience and compatibility more than special occasions do. True love finds meaning and connection even in these unglamorous times. Finally, respecting boundaries and allowing space is key. Those relationships I've had where individuality was lost often felt suffocating. True love lets both people breathe as individuals while growing together. Overall, what this article beautifully captures is that true love is an active, daily commitment—focused on mutual respect, emotional support, and growth. From my journey, I can say that staying mindful of these signs helps build a relationship that lasts beyond initial sparks, evolving into a partnership everyone dreams of.
