My insurance denied me when it came from my PCP, didn’t think about asking my sleep doctor to send it. I pay out of pocket for the compounded bc I can’t afford the name brand. Severe sleep apnea and obesity, I need this medication.
I have severe sleep apnea. My sleep specialist told me to have my weight management provider prescribe it because he does not manage meds. So the wt MGMT doc did. My ins denied it thru PA b/c they preferred Wegovy. So the Wegovy was $741 after ins. (and this is bc/bs federal). Long story short...I pay out of pocket for Zepbound thru Eli Lily for $499/mo
