This spot has been on my radar for a while, constantly popping up in conversations about the best brunch in the Bay Area, and I finally decided to see what all the hype was about. The exterior of the Sweet Maple restaurant building, with its name prominently displayed in large letters on a dark blue wall, is quite inviting and easy to spot. Stepping inside, the interior of Sweet Maple felt instantly welcoming. The dining tables and chairs were set up to create a lively yet comfortable atmosphere, and I particularly loved the decorative fireplace that added a cozy, homey touch. It’s the perfect setting for a relaxed weekend meal, whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a leisurely morning alone. Now, onto the star of the show – the food! My table was laden with various brunch dishes, each looking more appetizing than the last. I started with their legendary Millionaire's Bacon. This isn't just any bacon; it's thick-cut, perfectly glazed, and has that irresistible sweet and savory crunch that makes it truly feel luxurious. Garnished with fresh rosemary, it's an absolute game-changer and a definite must-order. If you're coming to Sweet Maple Walnut Creek, you have to try this. Next up was the Chicken Croffle. This dish is a creative fusion that really showcases Sweet Maple’s innovative menu. Imagine crispy fried chicken served atop a fluffy, buttery croffle (a croissant-waffle hybrid). It was beautifully presented with powdered sugar, slices of grapefruit, fresh rosemary, berries, and nuts, adding layers of flavor and texture. The combination of sweet, savory, and tangy notes was pure perfection. For something hearty, I delved into the Pimped Up Ramyum. This dish takes comfort food to another level. It featured perfectly cooked noodles, fresh vegetables, a perfectly fried egg, and savory bacon. The touch of seeing the red Nongshim ramen cup on the side truly elevated the experience, reminding me of homemade goodness but with a gourmet twist. It was incredibly satisfying and robust. To wash it all down, I tried the Ube Latte. This vibrant purple drink was as delicious as it was photogenic. It had a lovely creamy texture and a subtle, earthy sweetness from the ube, making it a unique and refreshing alternative to a regular coffee. Speaking of coffee, their regular coffee was also excellent, a strong and flavorful brew that complemented the rich dishes perfectly. Overall, my Sweet Maple Brunch Walnut Creek experience was fantastic. The service was attentive, the ambiance was vibrant, and the food was innovative and incredibly tasty. It’s clear why this place is so popular. If you're looking for a top-notch brunch spot in Walnut Creek with a menu that offers both classic comforts and exciting new flavors, Sweet Maple is the place to be. I highly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends, as it tends to get quite busy!
