Books I read in August
☀️It happened one summer: 3/5, very cute and easy read. got me out of my reading slump! hadn’t picked up a book since April 😅
❄️court of winter: 3/5, read the entire series in a week (4 books!) by the 3rd and 4th book I was over it. Started to become redundant and felt dragged out. But super easy romantasy read.
🐉fourth wing: 5/5, absolutely ate this up! I’d wanted to read it since it came out but did not want hard back copy. Finally saw it on KU and grabbed it so quick. Excited to jump into the second book!
🏝️natural selection: 4/5, short story (54 pages!) but my first read from this author. The story itself was uplifting and had a good meaning behind it. Not sure if the authors writing style is for me (& that’s okay!!) but I do recommend this story.
In August, I had the pleasure of diving into a variety of engaging books, each offering a unique perspective and storytelling style. 'It Happened One Summer' served as a refreshing escape, pulling me out of my reading slump with its cute charm. This sweet contemporary romance gets you smiling and keeps the pages turning effortlessly. Similarly, 'Fourth Wing' captivated me completely, boasting a gripping fantasy narrative that resonates with readers looking for an immersive experience. Its strong character development and engaging plot twists have certainly set high expectations for the sequel, making it a must-read for fans of the genre. 'Court of Winter' presents a blend of romantic fantasy that appeals to readers of lighthearted stories while 'Natural Selection,' despite its short length, provided a heartwarming take on life and decisions that linger in the mind long after the final page. Each book opened the door to new worlds, proving that whether long or short, great narratives can leave a lasting impact.
