... Read moreHey friends! It’s been a minute, but I'm back and so ready to dive into making this March a truly intentional and faith-filled month. As the original post beautifully reminds us with 1 Corinthians 16:14, 'Let all that you do be done in love,' and what better way to live out that love than by intentionally pursuing spiritual growth? This isn't just about ticking boxes; it's about transforming our hearts and minds by focusing on God in our daily lives.
I’ve been reflecting on how easy it is for days to blur into weeks without truly connecting with our faith. That's why I’m so passionate about these 5 Faith-Filled Goals for the month, especially in this MARCH FAITH EDITION. Let’s break them down a bit more and see how we can practically implement them for a truly intentional living experience.
First up: BEGIN AND END WITH GRATITUDE. This goal has been a game-changer for me. It’s about shifting our perspective from what’s lacking to what we've been blessed with. Try keeping a gratitude journal by your bed. In the morning, jot down three things you're thankful for before your feet even hit the floor. At night, reflect on three positive moments from your day, no matter how small. It could be as simple as a warm cup of coffee or a kind word from a friend. As 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, 'Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.' Cultivating this habit can truly transform your outlook.
Next, LIFT SOMEONE UP IN PRAYER DAILY. We often pray for ourselves, but there's immense power in interceding for others. Think about a friend, family member, or even a stranger you encountered who might be struggling. Set a reminder on your phone or keep a small prayer list. Imagine the impact if we all dedicated a few moments each day to praying specifically for someone else. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' It’s a wonderful way to extend love.
Then we have: SPEAK WORDS OF LIFE. Our words carry incredible weight. This goal challenges us to be mindful of what we say, not just to others, but also to ourselves. Instead of complaining or criticizing, let's choose to uplift, encourage, and affirm. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us, 'The tongue has the power of life and death.' It means choosing to speak blessings over situations and people, and even over our own challenges. This practice fosters a more positive environment and strengthens our spirit.
Goal number four is a big one for me: TURN WORRY INTO WORSHIP. Oh, how easily worry can consume us! This goal isn't about ignoring our anxieties, but about actively redirecting them. When a worry creeps in, instead of letting it spiral, consciously turn it into a prayer or a moment of praise. Remind yourself of God's faithfulness and sovereignty. Matthew 6:27 asks, 'Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?' Instead, we can choose to worship, acknowledging God’s control and trusting in His plan. It brings an incredible sense of peace.
Finally, SPEND QUIET TIME WITH GOD. This is the anchor for all the other goals. It’s about carving out dedicated moments to connect with our Creator. Whether it's five minutes or an hour, make space for reading your Bible, meditating on a scripture, or simply sitting in His presence. Joshua 1:8 tells us, 'Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.' This intentional time allows us to hear His voice, gain wisdom, and recharge our spiritual batteries. It’s essential for genuine spiritual growth and truly living intentionally.
I truly believe that incorporating these 5 Faith-Filled Goals into our March Faith Edition will not only help us grow closer to God but also enable us to live out our faith more visibly and intentionally every single day. Let's embrace this journey together and see how God transforms our lives this month!
