What makes this hormone balancing? ⬇️
The ingredients & WHEN you drink it👏🏼
The ingredients added to this recipe help to stabilize blood sugar & prevent cortisol from increasing more (cortisol is the stress hormone release by the adrenal glands & cortisol is already highest in the morning).
When you drink coffee, the caffeine places added stress on the adrenal glands to release more cortisol! So, in order to lower that stress response & help to balance your hormones… this is what we can do…
I do not recommend having coffee on an empty stomach & I do not recommend having coffee within the first hour of waking - this is to support your blood sugar & adrenals.
If you are in the habit of drinking coffee first thing in the AM, try replacing it with filtered water, sea salt & fresh lemon to start your day off HYDRATED 💦.
Then, I recommend eating a blood sugar balanced breakfast within the first hour of waking (a quality protein source, a healthy fat source some fiber + a complex carb) then have your coffee.
Drink it in a relaxed state, NOT while running late to work or before a stressful meeting.
The ingredients👇🏼
☕️ Organic mold free coffee - purity coffee is a great choice, you want to opt for organic as coffee is one of the most heavily sprayed crops out there. Take it a step further by getting mold free!
🐄 Grass fed collagen powder - 10 grams of protein per scoop, 20 grams of protein for 2 scoops using Promix’s collagen
🍯 Raw Honey - instead of fancy flavored syrups (that have tons of artificial sugar) opt for something natural like raw honey or pure maple syrup
🤎 Cinnamon - has positive effects on blood sugar levels
🥛 I use full fat coconut milk
feel free to froth or put all ingredients in a blender to have a frothy latte 😋.

I will also note - there was a good period of time that I gave up caffeine totally to let me body heal! Since then, I have reintroduced coffee but made sure it’s quality and don’t rely on it for energy etc!

Hey everyone! I'm so glad you're curious about hormone balancing because it's truly changed how I feel every day. While my special coffee routine is a fantastic start, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why these ingredients and habits are so powerful and share a few more tips that have helped me along my journey to better hormone health. Let's talk about cinnamon – you might have seen it sprinkled on my latte in the pictures! It's not just for flavor; this spice is a powerhouse for blood sugar regulation. Studies show cinnamon can improve insulin sensitivity, which is crucial for preventing those blood sugar spikes and crashes that throw your hormones out of whack, especially cortisol. When your blood sugar is stable, your body isn't in constant 'fight or flight' mode trying to rebalance it, giving your adrenals a much-needed break. I love adding a generous dash to my coffee, oatmeal, or even smoothies for this reason. Beyond the coffee cup, achieving hormone balance is a holistic effort. One of the biggest game-changers for me has been prioritizing sleep. When I don't get enough quality rest, my cortisol levels are naturally higher, making me feel stressed and wired. Aim for 7-9 hours, and try to establish a consistent bedtime routine. Even small things like dimming lights an hour before bed or avoiding screens can make a huge difference. Another area I've focused on is stress management. We can't avoid stress entirely, but we can change how we react to it. Simple practices like deep breathing exercises, short walks in nature, or even just taking 5 minutes to listen to calming music have been incredibly beneficial for me. Remember, your body doesn't differentiate between physical and emotional stress – both trigger that cortisol response. And finally, let's not forget hydration and nutrient-dense foods. While my coffee has collagen for protein and healthy fats from coconut milk, ensuring you're getting a wide range of vitamins and minerals from your meals is paramount. Think colorful fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats at every meal. Don't underestimate the power of simply drinking enough filtered water throughout the day; it's essential for every bodily function, including hormone synthesis and detoxification. If you're looking for more ways to support your gut, adding fermented foods like kimchi or sauerkraut can also boost overall wellness, which in turn supports hormone health. It's all about making small, sustainable changes that add up over time. This hormone-balancing journey isn't a sprint; it's a marathon, and every mindful step you take makes a difference!

Thank you for sharing this! I actually use a cortisol coffee that’s already pre made with all natural ingredients and it’s helped me lose weight too 🥰
