Even a flower can’t bloom year round 🌸

How can you expect yourself to?

I used to think fat loss meant staying “on” all the time

always in a deficit

always trying to eat less, do more

and it worked… until it didn’t

I’d burn out, feel stuck, and end up right back where I started

lately I’ve been thinking about it more like seasons

there are times to push a little (fat loss phase)

and times to fuel, maintain, and actually support your body

one thing that’s been helping me:

giving my fat loss phase an end date

so I’m not just dieting forever

and actually have something to transition out of

instead of forcing progress 24/7

I’m just rotating through both

and it’s been feeling a lot more sustainable

not perfect, not extreme… just consistent

small shifts making a difference ✨

Just like nature, where flowers bloom in their own time and rest when needed, our bodies require balance between effort and recovery. Instead of staying 'on' in a constant calorie deficit, I found that giving my fat loss phase an end date helped me avoid the mental and physical burnout that comes with endless dieting. Rotating between phases where I focus on fat loss and times when I prioritize fueling and maintaining my body has created a sustainable rhythm. This approach helps me stay consistent without feeling deprived or overwhelmed. I also pay attention to how my body feels and adjust my activity and nutrition accordingly, ensuring that I support my metabolism and overall well-being. Another important aspect is accepting that progress won’t be perfect or linear. Small, steady changes—not extreme restrictions—have a greater long-term impact. This mindset has made fat loss not just a goal, but a manageable part of my lifestyle. If you’re tired of crash diets and feeling stuck, try giving yourself permission to cycle through different phases of effort and nourishment. This strategy gave me the mental freedom to enjoy the process and see results that last over time. Remember, even a flower can’t bloom all year round—and neither can you. Prioritize sustainability and self-care, and the fat loss journey will feel more natural and rewarding.
