Poetry moment ✨🌸
I’m just a woman with flaws. I don’t need to know the action to take to fix each one. There are too many to count, it overwhelms me some days, but then I get real still listening to His voice reminding me whose I am along with who I am. In my weakness He is made strong therefore my flaws eventually wither away so my new strengths have a place to stay. Forever tucked away inside my mind and heart. Whenever I start to speak negatively over myself He once again swoops in to remind me yet again. He is not one to lie, His love for me is deep, wide and everlasting. Be still and know!! Can I do it despite all the distractions? Can I listen to the one voice that matters? The one who knows the number of hairs on my head. The one who knew me before the womb. So important if you asked me. I would suggest listening to Him since no one knows me better or ever will. My flaws don’t matter to Him. He is someone I cling to on the daily. He helps me see myself more clearly. It’s not about the outside that matters that’s society. He looks on the inside seeing one’s heart. Wow! How smart I would be to get this. We are all beautiful in His sight. So I need to let my insecurities take flight and know that I’m loved beyond imagination. Leave no room for stagnation, but continue to grow in Him. He will show me the way to go through life, but I have to first be still….and know that He is God!
As someone who has walked the journey of self-acceptance and spiritual growth, I find this message deeply relatable and inspiring. Often, I struggle with my own shortcomings and the overwhelming pressure to fix every flaw immediately. What’s helped me is pausing to be still and turning inward to listen—not just to negative self-talk, but to a gentler, more profound inner guidance I feel connected to through my faith. I’ve learned that embracing vulnerability is a powerful way to foster resilience. Like the poem suggests, it's not about the surface imperfections but the condition of the heart and spirit. When we allow ourselves to lean on a higher power or simply acknowledge our inherent worth beyond societal standards, a transformative strength emerges. This process isn’t instant or effortless. There are days when distractions and doubts cloud the mind, but cultivating daily moments of quiet reflection—whether through prayer, meditation, or simply deep breathing—can help realign focus on what truly matters. It helps me remember that love, especially divine love, doesn’t depend on perfection. Moreover, this mindset encourages continual growth rather than stagnation. Accepting that flaws are part of our human experience frees us to grow with compassion and patience toward ourselves. It also invites us to let go of harsh self-judgment and the constant comparison to others. In my own experience, recognizing this inner connection has increased my confidence and peace. It motivates me to speak kindly to myself and embrace who I am, flaws and all. This poetry moment is a beautiful reminder that the journey to self-love is ongoing, supported by faith, and grounded in knowing we are deeply valued and seen for our true selves.
