No more hair to remove? (kinda) 🤡
I've been visiting Japan IPL (somewhat) consistently for the past year and its time i say it... there's almost nothing left to remove (for my fingers at least). I'm really amazed, eapecially as someone who frequently forgets to get my IPL done, i wasnt sure how effective it would be.
It's kind of hard to see on camera but the hair folicles on my knuckles are so thin, you can barely see it at all. Have you guys tried IPL? How was your experience? 🤔
One of the challenges I initially faced with IPL hair removal was dealing with shaved skin close up—sometimes the treatment felt less effective when hair was freshly shaved. However, over time and through consistent sessions, I've noticed the hair growing back thinner and more sparse, making touch-ups quicker and less frequent. For anyone concerned about treating areas like knuckles or fingers where hair is finer and less dense, patience is key. The IPL technology targets the hair follicles beneath the surface, so results won't always be instant but build up significantly after multiple sessions. Also, the session scheduling is important—I made sure to book my appointments regularly, such as the upcoming ones I noted at Jem Louise and Raffles Place, which helped maintain the progress. For those wondering about visibility on shaved skin close up, while fine hair can be hard to spot immediately post-treatment, consistency leads to lasting reduction. Personally, I've found maintaining a simple routine post-IPL—like moisturizing and avoiding sun exposure—helps the skin stay healthy and the results last longer. If you're exploring IPL, try to stay committed and be gentle with shaved areas to get the best outcome over time.
