By far the COLDEST cars and coffee I’ve ever been to 🥶
Hosting the season opener in early February was certainly a bold move, but there were still some incredible cars that showed up. Already looking forward to the next one
Attending the Cars & Coffee event in Tribeca during one of the coldest days of the year was a truly unique experience. With temperatures feeling like -15°F, the commitment of both car owners and visitors was impressive, highlighting the passion that drives the car community. The variety of vehicles gathered was remarkable—from a turquoise McLaren 765LT glistening against the winter chill to a patinated Porsche 912 whose aged character stood out beautifully amid the shiny exotics. The presence of rare cars such as a first-generation Dodge Viper and a chalk-grey Cayman GT4 added to the event’s prestige. One particularly memorable moment was spotting a Ferrari 488 covered in New York road salt, which narrated the story of winter driving in the city. Contrasting it, the vibrant yellow V8 Defender seemed perfectly suited for the icy conditions, embodying both style and practicality in harsh weather. The showcase also included a striking lineup of Porsches, a Lamborghini Huracan STO, and a matte black Aventador that stood out despite the cold. The Lotus Emira, with its six-speed manual transmission, grew on many enthusiasts present, proving that sports car appreciation remains high even on freezing days. What made the event special was not just the cars but the atmosphere—the camaraderie and shared enthusiasm among attendees braving the cold together. Although the meet was cut short by police intervention, the memories of the diverse and exquisite vehicles brought warmth to the day. For anyone considering joining a Cars & Coffee meet, dress warmly and prepare for a community that celebrates automotive passions come rain, snow, or subzero temperatures. Events like this highlight the resilience and dedication of car culture lovers, making each meet not just about cars, but about shared experiences and connections.
