Replying to @Ashley🗝️ the countdown to move continues. We are choosing to be proactive and not move with as much as we came to this house with 1 year ago. But in order to do so we have to start now. This series we are decluttering and using packing tips I learned from our first move to make it all happen. #move #movingout #decluttering #declutteryourlife #dreamhome
Moving can be a daunting experience, but I've found that starting early and being proactive makes all the difference. One valuable lesson from my previous move is the importance of decluttering well before packing begins. It’s amazing how much stuff we accumulate in just a year! I recommend taking advantage of a countdown mindset — for instance, having 39 days left to move creates a clear timeline that helps you pace your efforts. Begin by sorting items into categories: keep, donate, sell, or discard. This not only lightens your load but also makes unpacking at the new place much easier. When it comes to packing, use sturdy boxes and label everything clearly. Packing room by room helps maintain organization and prevents confusion later. Also, try to pack essentials separately so you can access them without opening all boxes. Embracing the decluttering process doesn’t just prepare your belongings for the move; it also provides a fresh start in your new home. It’s rewarding to see your belongings shrink down to only what truly matters, giving you more space and peace of mind. Keep an eye out for my moving series updates — I’ll be sharing more tips on making your move efficient and less stressful as the countdown progresses. Remember, a well-planned move sets the stage for a smooth transition to your dream home.
