Decluttering Challenge Week 12
This was a week for projects! #declutter
In Week 12 of the Decluttering Challenge, focusing on completing ongoing projects really helped me make visible progress around the house. I learned that tackling multiple small projects, especially in areas like the bathroom and garage, can have a big impact on how organized and refreshed your living space feels. For example, the bathroom projects—removing old caulking, installing a thrifted shower curtain, and prepping for peel and stick tiles—were not only about decluttering but also about reviving and personalizing the room. Caulking removal and replacement might sound tedious, but doing it made the bathroom surface cleaner and prevented any water damage, which is essential for a hygienic home. In the garage, reorganizing a toolbox by painting and repurposing coffee cans for art supplies created a dedicated spot for everything. This small makeover transformed clutter into a neat art station, which is inspiring for anyone looking to balance creativity and order. I also found that going through spray paint cans and discarding empty or unusable ones was surprisingly satisfying. It freed up space and stopped me from feeling overwhelmed by clutter. Additionally, donating leftover items cleared out storage and ensured that those things could be useful to someone else. Another important takeaway is preparing and arranging your home for new pets, like making space in the back area for a dog. This shows that decluttering isn’t just about tidying up but also setting up an environment that supports new chapters in life. Overall, this week was a great reminder that decluttering is a process best done step-by-step through manageable projects. Sharing these experiences helps others see that progress is possible, even if you’re balancing multiple tasks at once. Take the time to address different zones in your home, and celebrate the small victories—they really add up!
