... Read moreBaking with sourdough discard is not only sustainable but also adds a unique depth of flavor to your cookies. These sourdough chocolate chip cookies are crispy on the edges while remaining chewy in the center, offering a satisfying texture. Sourdough fermentation breaks down gluten, making these cookies slightly easier to digest. The use of flaky salt on top enhances the sweetness, creating a perfect balance of flavors. For the best results, allow the dough to rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before baking; this helps in developing flavor and achieving the desired texture. You can experiment by incorporating nuts or using different types of chocolate to customize your cookies. Sourdough baking appeals to many because it brings out creativity in the kitchen while utilizing leftover discard effectively. Bakeries and home bakers alike are turning to sourdough for its health benefits and delicious results. Enjoy these cookies as a snack or dessert, and share them fresh from the oven with friends and family!
