Around midday, the sun’s angle highlights just how clear and vibrant the waterfall is—perfect for photos. Accommodation-wise, staying at Hacienda Guachipelin means you get wristband access to the area, removing any entrance fees and making your visit hassle-free. If you’re not staying there, be ready to pay an entry fee. Overall, Oropendola is less crowded than other waterfalls in Costa Rica, offering a peaceful connection with nature. It’s a perfect day trip when exploring the Rincon de la Vieja region—ideal for travelers who enjoy gentle hikes, stunning vistas, and a chance to swim in pristine waters.
