As you wind through the Black Hills, you’ll navigate a series of tight turns and even drive through unique rock tunnels carved right into these formations. The Needles Eye Tunnel, for example, is named because it truly looks like the eye of a needle from a distance – it’s a brilliant feat of engineering and nature combined. While the original post mentions the height and width restrictions (definitely pay attention to those if you’re in a larger vehicle like an RV!), that’s part of what makes it such an adventurous and intimate drive.
