Chocolate Ice Cream With 30g Protein — Is It Actually Good?
If you're looking for a higher-protein ice cream that actually tastes like ice cream, this one surprised me!
I tried the SWOOP Chocolate Charge flavor and was expecting something heavy. Instead, the texture was smooth, creamy, and much closer to traditional ice cream than I expected.
The entire pint contains 30g of protein and 410 calories. I ended up eating about half the container in one sitting (no regrets 😅) which gave me around 15g of protein.
If you've tried Halo Top before, I'd say SWOOP is better in comparison, I found this one creamier and more satisfying.

From my own experience exploring high-protein ice creams, finding one that satisfies both taste and nutritional goals can be challenging. The SWOOP Chocolate Charge stands out because it delivers on the texture front — it’s genuinely smooth and creamy, avoiding the chalky or icy consistency that some protein-packed ice creams suffer from. What I found especially appealing is the balance between indulgence and health. With 30 grams of protein per pint, it's an excellent option for those wanting to boost their protein intake while enjoying a dessert. The 410 calories per pint also make it a reasonable treat, especially when compared to traditional ice cream pints that can often have higher calories and less protein. Sweetened with coconut nectar, SWOOP offers a natural sweetness that doesn’t overpower the chocolate flavor. Unlike some lower-calorie options like Halo Top, which can sometimes leave you feeling unsatisfied, SWOOP’s creamy mouthfeel makes it feel more like a classic ice cream experience. This makes it easier to enjoy without feeling deprived. Another key takeaway is the portion flexibility. Eating half the pint gave me about 15 grams of protein, which is a convenient snack or post-workout treat. It’s also great for those who want to manage their calorie intake but don’t want to sacrifice flavor and enjoyment. For anyone experimenting with protein ice creams, I’d recommend trying SWOOP for its impressive nutritional stats combined with a texture and flavor profile that doesn’t disappoint. It’s refreshing to find a product where you don’t have to compromise taste for health benefits. I’m planning to keep SWOOP in my freezer for those moments when I want a delicious, protein-packed dessert that actually feels like a treat rather than a diet food.

I've never heard of this one and I definitely want to try!!
