Today my husband & I learned "condemned" versus feeling "conviction." Condemnation comes from the enemy—it’s harsh, accusatory, and makes us feel like we’re beyond redemption. It tells us we’ve failed too much to ever be loved or forgiven.
But conviction, on the other hand, comes from the Holy Spirit. It’s gentle and corrective. Conviction is a sign that God is still speaking to us, guiding us back to the right path, and reminding us of His grace and mercy. It’s a call to grow, not a reason to despair.
I’m so grateful for what this distinction has brought to me today.🙏🏽 The enemy wants to shame us, but God wants to transform us.
Conviction leads to change, whereas condemnation traps us in guilt. I’m learning to embrace God’s voice of conviction, trusting that He’s leading me closer to who He’s called me to be.
