My last pictures before I gave birth 🩵
Looking back at those last few weeks before childbirth, captured in these photos, feels surreal. One minute you're a pregnant woman, marveling at your growing baby bump against a snowy backdrop or a festive Christmas tree, and the next, your whole world shifts. The anticipation builds like nothing else, and while those serene moments of a sunny winter day are beautiful, the real journey is yet to come. For anyone else nearing their due date and thinking about childbirth, I wanted to share a few personal reflections and things that helped me prepare. It's not just about packing the hospital bag (though that's a big one!). It's also about mental preparation. I spent a lot of time talking to my partner about our birth plan, but more importantly, about our expectations and fears. It helped to demystify some of the unknowns surrounding labor and delivery. I found that focusing on breathing techniques and visualization really helped calm my nerves. Even during those last maternity photos, I was practicing mindful breathing, trying to soak in every moment of being pregnant. When it came to the actual childbirth, I tried to remember that my body was designed for this. Trusting that process, even when it felt overwhelming, was key. I also relied heavily on my support system – my partner was incredible, reminding me to breathe and staying positive, no matter what came our way. Don't be afraid to ask questions, whether it's to your doctor, midwife, or even other moms who have been through it. Everyone's childbirth experience is unique, but hearing different perspectives can help you feel more prepared for various scenarios. Focus on what you can control, like your environment, your comfort measures, and your mindset. And remember, no matter how your baby arrives, it's a powerful, transformative experience. Those last moments with your baby bump are special, but the journey to welcoming your little one is even more so. You've got this!

Hope you have had a healthy and amazing birth! 🥰🥺
