I stopped dressingmy baby up for the drs.

Here’s why..

They just want them naked anyways and my appts are always in the early morning when he’s still sleeping.

Of course I change his diaper and bring a change of clothes when we are there but before his appt he just rolls up in his pjs.

Please tell me I’m not the only mom who does that :)

... Read moreI remember scrolling through social media, seeing all those picture-perfect babies in adorable outfits, and feeling the pressure to make every outing with my little one look just as flawless. We all want those heartwarming 'chhote bacchon ki photo' (photos of small children) moments. But then reality hit, especially with those early morning doctor appointments. Trying to get a sleepy baby dressed in a cute, multi-piece outfit just to have it removed minutes later for an exam felt utterly pointless and, frankly, exhausting. That's when my perspective shifted. My little guy, often still groggy, started rolling up to the clinic snuggled in his favorite shark-patterned PJs. It just made so much more sense – why bother with a whole outfit when it'll be off within minutes for the examination? It saved us precious time in the morning, kept him comfortable and happy, and honestly, reduced my stress levels significantly. The doctors and nurses never batted an eye; they just wanted to see a happy, healthy baby. This whole 'PJs to the doctor' routine actually made me rethink what truly matters when it comes to capturing 'chhote bacchon ki photo,' or photos of small children. We often strive for that perfect, posed shot, but the most heartwarming memories are often the candid ones – the sleepy yawns, the messy smiles, the pure comfort of a baby in their favorite pajamas, even at the doctor's office. These authentic moments, free from the pressure of perfection, are the ones that tell the real story of our baby's early years. Beyond just the PJs, I've picked up a few other tricks for making doctor visits, or any outing, less stressful for both of us. First, always prioritize comfort. Soft, breathable fabrics are key, especially against sensitive baby skin. Second, think about ease of access. Snaps or zippers are lifesavers compared to a dozen buttons, making diaper changes and examinations a breeze. Third, layers are your friend – you never know the clinic's temperature, and it's easy to add or remove a cardigan or blanket. And finally, that trusty diaper bag is crucial. Always pack a spare change of clothes (yes, even a spare set of PJs!), plenty of diapers, wipes, burp cloths, and a small, familiar toy for distraction during waiting times. In the end, what we're truly capturing in our 'chhote bacchon ki photo' is their journey, their personality, and the real, unfiltered moments of childhood. Whether it's a baby in a pristine outfit for a photoshoot or a little shark-patterned bundle heading to the doctor, each picture tells a unique story. Embracing the practicality and comfort, just like my decision to stick with PJs for those early appointments, has brought so much peace and authenticity to our family life. And those real, unposed pictures? They're the ones I cherish the most.

I always had my daughter in pjs for the doctor. Not one health care professional ever seemed to care
