My new years goals to better myself

Wellness Habits

🧘 Habit 1: Doing light HW assignments right away

🧘 How It Helps Me: Gives me more free time and less academic stress

🧘 Habit 2: Getting back in the gym

🧘 How It Helps Me: I’ve loved weight training for about 4 years but first semester I stopped bc I was afraid to go to that side of the gym. My body doesn’t feel like my body anymore so I’m getting back to it!

🧘 Habit 3: Taking my makeup off

🧘 How It Helps Me: one of these days my lack of cleaning my makeup off at night will catch up with my skin😂

🧘 Habit 4: Spending time w people who make me feel loved

🧘 How It Helps Me: one of my ins this year is intentional friendships, this is how I’m developing and fostering those

🧘 Habit 5: Eating well

🧘 How It Helps Me: I’ve been struggling with not being able to cook my own food so some days I don’t eat enough bc I’m not hungry and school food is gross. It’s also hard to get enough protein which I need for # 2, so I am being way more intentional with my diet.

🧘 Habit 6: Taking my meds

🧘 How It Helps Me: chronic illness is a b* and I need to lock in fighting it bc I’m literally playing w my life😃

🧘 Habit 7: No Buy Semester

🧘 How It Helps Me: I need dopamine from things that aren’t shopping and to work on my relationship w money.

... Read moreNew Year's resolutions are a fantastic way to motivate yourself toward personal growth and wellness. In this article, I share my intentions for the year ahead, focusing on seven specific habits that have already begun to transform my daily life. 1. **Completing Assignments Promptly**: This habit drastically reduces stress and leaves more time for both fun and larger projects. By tackling my homework within 48 hours, I’m able to manage my workload more effectively. 2. **Rebuilding Strength**: After a brief hiatus from weight training, I’m committed to regaining my fitness level. The physical benefits of exercising—not just strength, but also improved mental clarity—are immense. 3. **Makeup Removal Routine**: Maintaining skincare habits is crucial. By making it a point to remove makeup before bed, I’m not only improving my skin's health but fostering a routine that helps with self-care. 4. **Intentional Friendships**: This year, my focus includes spending more time with people who uplift me emotionally. Building a nurturing social circle can significantly impact mental well-being. 5. **Balanced Nutrition**: I’ve realized the importance of a proper diet. By tracking my meals and ensuring I eat enough protein, I can support my fitness journey while also feeling healthier overall. 6. **Consistent Medication**: For those managing chronic illnesses, consistency is key. I've committed to taking my meds regularly to maintain health and wellness. 7. **No Buy Challenge**: By cutting down on unnecessary purchases, I can focus on better financial habits and seek joy in experiences rather than material things. Creating a balance in life is achievable through mindful choices that nurture both the body and soul. Let these goals inspire your wellness journey this New Year! #NewYearGlowUp #WellnessGoals #IntentionalLiving
