Nature therapy hits different

I strongly believe in growing what you eat and eating what you grow. That’s why I stand on planting more garden and less lawn.

To plant a garden is to have hope in tomorrow. When you plant a garden there is always hope of a harvest. Believe it or not you have food growing in the ground even while you sleep.

I especially love an organic garden, one planted and grown without chemicals and pesticides. Planting my own garden means I know the source of my food and where it comes from.

In my experience gardening provides many health benefits. Some are relaxation, stress relief, meditation etc. Gardening also fosters a deeper connection with nature, so gardening keeps me in my element. I especially love grounding when I am gardening so I am always barefooted😀

Gardening increases the consumption of fresh and nutritious produce also less trips to the grocery store resulting in more money in your pocket.

Having said that did you know gardening increases family bonding. Again have you stated planting?🪏🫜🥦🥒🥕🌽🫚🫑 #growyourowngarden #gardeningforbeginners #growyourownfood #growingveggies #gardening

... Read moreFrom my experience, engaging regularly in organic gardening goes beyond simply growing food—it nurtures both physical and mental well-being. I found that spending time barefoot in the soil, a practice known as grounding, helps me feel more connected to nature and deeply relaxed. This sensory connection fosters mindfulness, transforming gardening into a moving meditation that eases stress and refreshes the mind. What’s more, an organic garden free from chemicals not only provides healthier produce but also contributes to environmental sustainability. It reduces exposure to harmful pesticides and promotes biodiversity by attracting beneficial insects and birds to your garden. Gardening has also strengthened my family relationships. Sharing planting and harvesting experiences encourages teamwork and teaches children valuable lessons about responsibility and the food cycle. Together, we’ve created cherished rituals around tending to our garden, which enriches quality time and communication. Economically, I’ve noticed that growing fresh vegetables at home significantly cuts grocery bills while ensuring access to nutritious food. The satisfaction of harvesting vegetables I nurtured myself adds a unique joy to meal preparation and inspires healthier eating habits. If you’re considering starting your first garden, start small with easy-to-grow veggies like lettuce, carrots, or herbs. Gardening forums such as #growyourowngarden and #gardeningforbeginners offer great tips and community support. Remember, planting a garden is planting hope—it encourages a healthier lifestyle physically, mentally, and socially, and reconnects us with the natural world in meaningful ways.
